There is a new
release of firmware for the ServStation XR
available. It is available under the support
tab of the ServStation
XR product page .
One of the new
features of this release is that you can view the
file structure for CD/DVDs in the reader
drive. Previously, you had to copy them to
the hard drive first.
The ServStation XR supports Windows
2003 Server and Active Directory. If you are
planning on moving to 2003 or AD, consider
upgrading to the ServStation XR. Trade-in

saving time and

storage servers.
The
FlexNAS has the features, scalability and reliability to

Scalability: From 160 GB to 2.4
TB in a single system. Link up to 10 modules together as
a logical single system an have over 20 TB of
capacity.
Reliability: Linux kernel in
Flash ROM with integrated virus protection combined with
RAID 0,1,& 5, hot-swap drives and hot-spare
means it will be there when you need it.
Back-up: Support for variety
of TBUs. Snapshot capability recently
added. Includes copy of Second Copy for workstation
and server backup. One FlexNAS can mirror to
another. Standard back up software supported.

Axis Communications, the producers of
the "Storpoint" thin-server controller that is used in
many kinds of CD Servers, is phasing that
product out and no future software/firmware updates will be forthcoming.
That controller device is used in many CD server (including some
PrimeArray models)
If you know, or would like to
know, that your CD Server has an Axis Storpoint in
it, or if you have an older CD Server or Tower (of any
brand) that you wish to replace, please contact
us.
PrimeArray offers terrific
trade-in/upgrade deals with a special
credit for configurations with the Axis
Storpoint controllers. We will help you move to a
new platform in its prime that has ongoing support and
new-feature development.
