having a pile of CDs or DVDs that you need to load into
a server or database, PrimeArray’s tower CD/DVD loaders
will allow you to load up to eight discs simultaneously.
For Example: You are a law firm that handles litigation.
When you get a new case, you receive nearly 500 CDs that
need to be loaded into your case files on your server.
You need to get the data in quickly, expensive lawyers
are waiting for it.

PrimeArray CD/DVD Loaders are available as both a direct network
attached option or a SCSI attached option.
• Proserver – Direct network
attached loader
|
The Proserver is a direct network attached
server that can be built with as many as eight DVD-ROM readers
for simultaneous loading of CD or DVD data. The Proserver
supports two methods for loading.
1. Direct Disc Access- In this scenario, the DVD-ROM drives
are set up in “direct access mode”. Like conventional
towers, when you insert a disc, the content is available
to copy to the desired location.
2. Disk Caching – In this scenario, the DVD-ROM drives
are set up in “mirroring mode”. When a disc
is inserted in the reader, the system immediately and automatically
copies an exact ISO image of the disc to the Proserver’s
hard drive. Periodically, as the hard disk drive starts
to fill up, you copy larger blocks of data over to the desired
location.

• Maxtet – SCSI attached
loader

The Maxtet is a SCSI attached tower with up
to seven DVD-ROM drives. These drives will appear as drive
letters on the workstation to which the Maxtet is attached.
You may want to write a script to read the contents and
copy to the desired location.
