Ease of Use

There is no easier way to share a few CD/DVDs. Simply connect to your computer or server via a SCSI adapter and cable. Each optical drive appears as a drive letter on the workstation to which it is attached. Upgrading a certain disc is as simple as replacing the disc in the drive.


Universal Access

Any workstation that can access the server and is allowed to view the Maxtet can access data contained on the discs in the Maxtet. Both PCs and Macs can access over Netware, Windows, Unix or Appleshare networks.


Fast, Simultaneous Loading

For database uploading applications, load up to twelve discs at a time rather than loading one at a time.


Mix-n-Match CD & DVD

Configure the system with CD-ROM drives, DVD-ROM drives (which also read CDs but are more expensive) or a mix of both. The tower or rack mount case can hold up to twelve drives.


Good for Copy protected discs

Discs which are copy protected cannot be loaded into a hard-disk caching CD/DVD Server. The Maxtet offers a solution to that problem.


Looking to load many discs into a server?

By attaching one or more Maxtets to your server, you can load many CDs or DVDs into your server more easily. Add twelve discs at a time per Maxtet rather than loading one at a time.


Add Optical Disc Readers

There are a number of applications where the task would be made easier by having multiple optical CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drives in the server. Customers have used Maxtets for

• QA of software discs;
• Loading many discs into a CD or DVD Server; or
• Making multiple discs available to a server application such as converting CD data format to a new format and saving that new format.
